Berries and memories

Happy Sunday morning!
This week has seen a good amount of scrapping memories, some recent and some older. But we've also had good summer weather and therefore playing in the park, taking walks and enjoying the local carnival; the arrival from France of my parents for their 4-week visit; and the start of my little dude's summer break.
In the midst of all that, I did manage to scrap 5 layouts with new releases.

First, Mel Hains Designs had a fun new summery kit called Cook Out great for summer bbq memories and more:

I used it with a template by Jen Yurko (Feeling Hexed collection) to scrap Cedric's visit with Pluto in Disneyland Paris in 2012:

And of course, Bella Gypsy Designs had lots of new releases! These ladies are so productive and talented it's scary...

First, they released Berry Happy, a fun berry themed kit, with a coordinating watermelon themed kit called Taste of Summer (which you get free right now if you buy Berry Happy):

I used them together for a memory from the same restaurant as the first layout I showed you, where Mickey came to see us (for a challenge at Mousescrappers with a great template by Melidy Designs):

And I used Berry Happy alone, with a Fuss Free template by Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs for a photo of my dude with a blueberry and acai moustache (he LOVES berries!):

The second pair they released was Happy Mail, a great kit about getting fun stuff in the mail (boxes, gifts and stuff), and the coordinated First Class about classing mail and trips to the post office:

I combined these as well to scrap the first time I got a Shutterfly order in the mail and got to unwrap my first photobook:

And finally, they released two kits for this week's Iron Scrapper at Scrap Orchard. Sweet Dreams and Every Morning:

I combined them as well. I had a gorgeous photo of my son the way he looks in the morning, still asleep and so peaceful before I wake him up:

And we're off for a walk and a little park visit, so I hope you enjoy the layouts and the rest of your Sunday :D

Lots of layouts

I haven't blogged in a while but I have been scrapping!!
I'll keep this short and sweet and just show you what I've done :D

The first two are CT layouts for my awesome two designers.
First my April desktop with Work Force by Artgal Style. The kit is work and office related, but I used it to make a bit of an autism awareness month desktop with that cute puzzle piece!

Then one with Beach Holiday by Mel Hains. It's a fun summer kit and I cheated and used it for a pool party :D

I also forgot to show you Mel Hains' previous gorgeous collection called Bloomin Wonderful. I loved it so much I used it twice.
Once for a sleep routine layout (template by Fiddle-Dee-Dee):

And once for one more page with Winnie and the gang at the Crystal Palace (I already have one with Cédric with each character and one with me with each character, but I had to show that the rest of the family joined the fun!):

The rest of my layouts were done in an effort to finish my xmas 2013 album (so I can move on to the other 4 trips to Florida we've done since :O).
To motivate myself to get it done, I did challenges at Mousescrappers.com
Using templates and recipes really helped and I surprised myself by using a lot of combinations of kits in one layout, which I usually don't do!
The first one shows the Crystal Palace where we spent Cédric's birthday:

Done with Berry Tangerine by Designs by Jen Yurko and a template by Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs

The second is of us on Big Thunder Mountain, for which I have photos because my Mom was there and didn't come on. She managed to get really good shots of us!

Done with Berry Tangerine by Designs by Jen Yurko and a template by Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs and a template by Pixleyy

Then we have the UK pavilion in Epcot:

Done with The Last Key by BellaGypsy, Gone Fishing by Mel Hains designs, Royal Knees Up by A Work In Progress and Mom's Night Out by mel Hains Designs and a template by Pixleyy

I also scrapped the awesome chef at the Crystal Palace who took care of Cédric's intolerances and played along, putting his finger in his ear to imitate Cédric who wouldn't take it out for the photo:

Done using Over Easy by Artgal Style, Kitchen Capers by A Work In Progress, and Baked Memories by Modern June.

I used a truly beautiful template by Neverland Scraps to show all the things we did at Epcot that didn't get their own layout:

Done with Any Given Wednesday, Celebrate Summer and Friday Saturday Child all by Jen Yurko and a template by Neverland Scraps.

I also made one of our xmas supper at a local restaurant where the waiter had fun photobombing and exclaimed his surprise at how tall Dave was:

Done with Holly Jolly Tinsel Day by Just Jamie and Winter Blessings by Artgal Style

And to finish, I made two pages to journal a general overview of the vacation and use some cute photos of Cédric I hadn't scrapped yet!

Done with Doodle Me Spring by Simple Girl Scraps and the On The Spot alphas by A Work In Progress

Now it's late, and I'm sure that quite enough to look at for one post, so good night. I should be back soon with some exciting stuff (for me anyways :D)

Deux

This week started with a holiday. Monday was Victoria Day, which we call May Run, in Northern Ontario. Both Dave and Cedric were off. We took our time, relaxed, took a ride. It was a good way to start the week.
I then worked two days in a row. Tuesday, I spent the day with two grade 8 classes, which went pretty well. Wednesday, I was at the high school and my last class was depressing. The lack of motivation and work done was just sad and they really pushed their limits. It's the curse of the supply teacher! I was grateful for a supper with my girl friends for which I dressed up (we went to a pretty classy restaurant) and which allowed for relaxing and venting (and some caramel cheesecake). The rest of the week has been uneventful :D

Now, from one fancy supper to another, last week was our anniversary! Ten years!!
My in-laws watched our little man and we went out to another nice restaurant where we had venison, and yummy desserts. And the prompt for P52 last week was "two", so I figured a little photo of the two of us on our anniversary was perfect.
The lighting was bad, though, so the photo that the waitress took makes us look very dark. So once again, the best shot is an end-of-arm couple's selfie. And thank goodness for hubby's long arms :D

But then, I saw these "two"...

... and that's an even better "two". My two guys sharing a moment of love :D Cedric is in a very strong Dad loving phase and I don't mind one bit. I still get lots of love and I really enjoyed seeing my little one so happy to see is Daddy get home and giving him hugs and kisses.

Now, while I have your attention, let me show you a couple of digiscrap layouts I made this week!
My new desktop, with Everyday May by Jen Yurko:

This one is a very cute collaboration between Jen Yurko and Triple J Designs, called Bad Hair Dayz, which allowed me to journal the nightmare that is haircuts... Cedric hates them!

The experience is horrible, but the layout turned out pretty cute :D

Finally, I scrapped another photo from our xmas Florida vacation. Cedric and I in front of the iconic Hollywood Studios. I used a template by Jen Yurko and A Little Baby Boy by Mel Hains Designs, a gorgeous baby kit that can be used for much more ;)

Thanks for looking and have a great week-end, everyone. The sun and warmer weather are finally here, so hopefully, we'll enjoy ours too!

Disney, Disney and more Disney

WARNING: Disney puked all over my week-end last week and all over this blog post!

A couple of weeks ago I discovered MouseScrappers. I think it was while browsing Pinterest for Disney things...
And as I browsed their forum, I saw they were having a speed scrap marathon from Friday the 7th to Sunday the 9th. I was supposed to work all day Friday and had given up on the idea when the stomach flu hit! All three of us had a horrible flu all week-end, we were stuck at home, with no energy, so I scrapped my butt off :D
I did not have enough energy or time to do the whole marathon. They had 16 speed scraps over 3 days!! But I did make 9 layouts!! And here they all are!!

1. My son meeting all the Winnie the Pooh characters at the Crystal Palace on his 6th birthday:

Done with Happy Days by Mel Hains Designs

2. Some random views of the China Pavillion and the three of us eating there at the Nine Dragons:

Done with A Little East by Designs by Jen Yurko

3. The Dude in the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground at Hollywood Studios:

Done with Monster Mash by Pretty In Green

4. A look at us meeting Mickey and Minnie in 2009 and 2013

Done with Main Street Magic by Connie Prince, Mouse Scraps by Fran B and It's A Good Life by Just Jaime

5. The three of us taking our family photo in almost every park (I realized after that we had more of those, like the one at Blizzard Beach that you can see in a lower layout):

Done with Forever Family by Bella Gypsy and a template by Megan Turnidge

6. My crew arriving in Epcot (Cédric with his Dad and all 4 grand-parents, doesn't happen very often!!):

Done with Earthy by Artgal Style

7. Group photos at Blizzard Beach:

Done with Happy Go Lucky and Girls Rule by Artgal Style

8. The Magician Hat of Hollywood Studios (it was out first time!):

Done with The Fourth and Magic by Simple Girl Scraps

9. My hubby really enjoying his millefeuille in the France Pavillion in Epcot:

Using Cook With Me by Danimoy Designs (retired), I Live I laugh I Love by Simple Girl Scraps (kit retired), and Baked Memories by Modern June Designs

The marathon has inspired me to keep going, so you might see more Disney photos soon :D

Hope you like them, and if you have anything Disney related to scrap, I highly recommend a visit to MouseScrappers for inspiration!!

Let's talk layouts

Today I participated in a speed scrap, which I haven't done in ages, and I decided it was a good occasion to show some of my recent LOs.
I will not show 6 months worth of them...
I'll be lazy and just show my layouts without linking (but I'll name designer and store, so if you like what you see it will still be easy to get!!

So first I did a speed scrap this afternoon at Scrap Takeout, using My Mom by Mel Hains Designs (available at Scrap Takeout):

Also by Mel Hains Designs, I scrapped our xmas card this year with Celebrate Christmas With Me:

I also scrapped a fun game themed layout with Game Night by Artgal Style (available at Plain Digital Wrapper):

And I revamped my Facebook Timeline Photo with Pumpkin and Scarecrows by Artgal Style as well:

From Simple Girl Scraps (available at GingerScraps and GottaPixel), I scrapped my morning shakes with January Story:

A visit from our friends with Best Friends Forever:

And my desktop with Fresh Start (LOVE the colours in this one):

There you go!! Busy January scrap-wise I guess. Last year had gotten a bit slow and I'm happy to see myself scrapping more :D

New CT

Today I'm showing you my first layout for my new CT gig for Mel Hains Designs. I've known her a long time as she was part of Scrap That Idea, but I never CTed for her... I'm very happy to do so now!
The kit is called Cruising, take a look:

And here's my layout:

And good news for you, there is also an awesome freebie up for grabs on her blog:

Well, that's it for this sick tired Mom tonight...
