New Year freebie!!

No, no, I haven't gone insane. I know it's January 31st, but today is the Chinese New Year. And this year is the year of the horse, which is my Chinese zodiac sign, so I was inspired to use my old freebie kit to make a small freebie for you.

Download here or click on the image

I got super lazy, though, and didn't package it... The kit I used is the one I made years ago called Chinese Zodiac and you can still find all the pieces on the blog (http://poppylium.blogspot.ca/search/label/chinese%20zodiac%20%28kit%29).
It looked like this:

Well, there you go, Happy Year of the Horse to everyone :D

I'm in the spotlight! (and that deserves a freebie)

With March break (and our family trip to Florida) I haven't updated this blog in a little while, and I should show you a few things, but today I'm here to give you a little something in honour of my being in the spotlight.
Theresa of Simple Girl Scraps is letting her fans know who her CT members are through a series of spotlight interviews, and today it's ME :D
You can see the interview on her blog!
She also has a featured product every week, and this week it's Life's a Beach, which I hadn't worked with before, so I made a layout for the occasion. Here are the kit and my layout:

The kit is 60% off during the week of its feature, so go grab it in one of her stores:
Scrap Delicious, Scrapping Fairytales, With Love Studio

And to celebrate my spotlight and this gorgeous kit on sale, I made you a little freebie using it!!
It's a cute cluster frame (which comes with and without shadows):

You can find it here on 4shared (preview linked as well).
I hope you enjoy the freebie and that some of you visit Theresa's blog to learn a bit more about me ;)

One more freebie!!

Today, I'm back with a freebie for you!!
You probably remember that Simple Girl Scraps released a gorgeous kit called XOXO and organized an awesome CT blog train with a freebie everyday... Today is the last of the CT freebies and it's another one of mine.
Let me remind you of what the kit looks like (title and preview linked to the store):

It's still 40% off and therefore only $3, don't miss it ;)
For inspiration, my layout looks like this:

If you like it, the stacked papers were my previous freebie and it's still up for grabs here!!
And now, here's the new freebie, a wordart:

It's here at 4shared (the preview is linked too). Leave me some love here or at 4shared if you download :D
And of course, tomorrow is Valentine's Day, the inspiration behind the kit and the blog train. Theresa of Simple Girl Scraps will have a last freebie for you and a recap of the whole train on her blog.
Hope you like the freebie and that tomorrow is a great day full of love for everyone!

Today's post is really fun! Theresa of Simple Girl Scraps released XOXO recently, an awesome love themed kit, and she's allowed her whole CT to make freebies for you!! Every day until the 14th, someone on the CT is giving away a freebie. Check Theresa's blog to find links to the past freebies.
First check out the kit:

Isn't it pretty?!?
Here's my layout with it:

And without further ado, here's my first freebie (there will be another one on the 13th ;) ).

You can find it here at 4shared (the preview is linked too).
I hope you enjoy it and all the other freebies. Tomorrow, you can find yet another freebie on Heidi's blog.

A freebie from Simple Girl Scraps, and one from me!!

Today you won't be sorry you came!
Simple Girl Scraps is being featured at 5 Star Digital Scrapbooking and for the occasion, she's made you a GORGEOUS full kit freebie called Important to Me:
The preview and title are linked so you can go read the interview (it's short and sweet) and of course download the kit ;)
*The kit is no longer a freebie but available here at ScrapDelicious for $4*

And here's what I made with it (the colours and theme were perfect for my son's baptism):

Theresa was nice enough to let me give you a little extra gift! I thought you might be able to use the stacked papers from my layout and I included a version with the tree and one without ;)
You can find them here at 4shared (the preview is linked as well):

Enjoy!!

Another freebie!

Yay, it's fun to give stuff away :)

Stacey's Scraps new kit today is called Hopping Down the Bunny Trail and it's an adorable Easter themed kit, with awesome doodles! I made my page and turned into a quickpage for you again!
Take a look at the kit (linked to the store):

Check out the hairy chicks, I LOVE them!
I used the kit to scrap my son's Easter basket. We bought it last year and will be using it again this year and maybe more.

Isn't it the cutest basket?
And as the layout was a pretty versatile Easter layout (once I took out the title), I turned it into a QP for you (with Stacey's permission of course):

The page is linked to 4shared for you to grab it! And I'd love a little love if you download ;)
Happy Scrapping!

Now take a look at the happiest spring kit around. Welcome Spring by Stacey's Scraps is full of gorgeous elements, lots of them are unique doodles, you won't see anywhere else. Check out the doodled flowers, I LOVE them:

And I scrapped Cédric playing house in his uncle's backyard:

And then I thought my page was pretty cute and maybe you'd want it, sooooo ... I asked Stacey if I could make it a free quickpage for you and she said yes! Here's the QP preview, linked to 4shared for you to download:

Please leave me a little love if you grab it ;)

Tit for Tat (*freebie post*)

Well obviously the freebie is the "tit". I've just started my 2011 calendar, and I decided to make myself a template and keep a similar format for all pages. As I was completing my January page, I thought you might want the template too!
It can be used as a calendar page of course, but I think it would work well as a layout too if you remove the calendar grid... Here's what it looks like (and my layout to give you inspiration):

I used Funky Retro (retired kit) by A Work In Progress Designs by Vicki and a couple elements from Jack Frost by AWP Vicki as well. The calendar grid is all from Date Me Stitching by VW Designs (that actually was bought with a RAK gift certificate from a very nice scrappy friend of mine who knows who she is, thanks again girl ;) ).

Now of course there's a link for the template, but before I give it to you, I want to tell you about the "tat". As you may know, I am participating on Battle of the Creative Teams at Digiscrapaddicts on Vicki's team: Vicki's Working Girls. Round 2 has just closed and it's time to vote. I truly believe that her gorgeous designs paired with my teammates' talent makes us very worthy competitors, but that means nothing if we don't any votes... and that's where you come in!
If you like the template, grab it, and if you feel like doing a little something to say thank you, click HERE to get to the voting page and vote for A Work In Progress (it only takes a few seconds, we're in the middle of the list)! Let me show you my layout so you can see some of what you're voting for (you can see all of my team's layouts here):

Now here's you link to 4shared: template 5
Thanks for reading and hopefully voting, and enjoy the template!

another monster post! And a freebie!!!

Well, two days after my last post, my parents arrived for a 3 week visit. They are from France and I'm in Canada, so we don't see each other very often. It was a great visit, very pleasant, but it cut down my scrapping/blogging time.

So now that they're gone, I have LOTS to say and show.
You're going to have to bear with me a bit and you'll be rewarded for your patience with a freebie...

First, I want to let you know about a great sale at Scrap That Idea:

Next, I want to show you my last few CT layouts, all done with kits by Stacey's Scraps.

Just for Kids (what a fun, bright kit!!):

Grams and Gramps which is perfect for grand-parents/great-aunts or uncles, etc. and so much more:

Always Remember for all police/army/firefighter pics or anything else like my page ;):

Happy Campers which has exclusive doodles to scrap your camping/nature pics (I love the colour combo in this one!):

That's it for CT layouts!! And I'll show you all challenge layouts in another post.
So now it's time for your freebie template!!

It's based on a layout I made which I thought was a bit different and could make a nice template. Here it is (click on it to go to 4shared and download):

Leave me a little love if you grab it and happy scrapping!

St Patrick's day freebies all over the place...

Happy St Patrick's Day everyone (Irish or not a bit of luck is always good).

There are kits for the occasion everywhere, but the best one is over at Stacey's Scraps. First it's a freebie, second the title is awesome: "I'm not Irish but kiss me anyway", how cute is that? And third, the colours and textures are gorgeous as always.
Take a look:

You can click the image to get it all (all today!).

And she didn't make an alpha, because she made it all this morning just for us! But I happen to have a little alpha freebie that could go with it ;)

Here's Kiss Me:

Click the image or here to get it and leave Stacey and me some love if you download!

layouts and a freebie

First off, I'm quite late showing you Stacey's new kit. It's called P is for Potty Training and it's a must-have for any mom. Look at all the cute elements and what I did with it:

Then I did a few challenges:

A super-fun "scrap your hunk" challenge at STI (done mostly with the Live for Today collab, that kit name could be a James Bond title don't you think?):

A scraplift challenge (original layout by Kim21673, kit Tutti Frutti by Stacey's Scraps):

A template challenge (template by Opalyne, kit Dream or Reality by Chriscrap):

And one just for myself using Stacey's E is for Exercise:

...which I liked quite a bit and made into a freebie template for you
!!!
Here's the template preview and link:

You can get it here or click on the image!
Hope you like it...

Exciting news and a freebie to boot! *fixed link*

It might seem like I haven't been doing much digiscrap-wise but that's not quite true!

First, I'm making an album for the year 2009 and I want to get it finished before I show it, but it's taking quite a bit of my time.

Second, I've made a few layouts for challenges and I've just been too lazy to show you.

Third, and that's the exciting one, I've been accepted into an awesome CT: Stacey of Stacey's scraps asked me to join and that's an offer I couldn't refuse. So I'll have lots of cool layouts to show you soon. Check out her store and the Scrap That Idea gallery to see how much talent I'll be surrounded by...YAY!

And finally, I did a layout for a challenge, then realized I forgot one of the rules and instead of using one picture I put 10, that's right, 10 times the amount of pictures I was supposed to use...can you say brain fart?
But I liked the end result quite a bit and I decided to make a template for you with it. It's the first time I make a template and I have no idea if I did it right, so feedback would be appreciated.
I included the drop shadows for some elements (the papers and pictures). I'd like to know if that's something people like, or if they prefer making their own. I figured they were easy to remove anyways...

Let me show you the layout it's based on, for which I used Puppy Love by A Work in Progress Designs by Vicki:

And now the template itself:

Click here to download and please leave me some love, or if it's no good, some constructive comments ;)
I'd also love to see what you do with it, so please upload your layouts in my guest book. Thanks and enjoy!

Festive alpha

The alpha I made for Chinese Zodiac is bright and quite festive, take a look:

Like it?

I know that sometimes we don't want to use the alpha, or at least not for everything, so I thought I'd share with the you the font I used so you can do some journalling, write dates, etc., with a font that matches the kit perfectly. It's from Harold's fonts and it's called Chow Fun.

Now here's your link to download the alpha:

Enjoy!

Chinese Zodiac elements

I'm glad you are enjoying the kit! I had fun making it.

Before I give you the elements, here's a little layout I made with it:

So, you know the whole kit looks like this:

But here's a more detailed view of the 12 lanterns, one for each of the 12 signs with the corresponding Chinese character, and the 12 animal elements, again one for each of the 12 signs.

You also get a simple lantern, and an empty one that you can use as a frame (and the weird grey papery thing fits in the lantern so you can give texture to your photo if you want).
And 2010 is the year of the tiger, so I made a little wordart for that, but I also included a blank one so you can make for any year. Like I said, I had fun...

So enough blabal, here's the link so you can get the elements:

Leave some love and come back tomorrow for the alpha!
