It's for a good cause...

Again, I haven't blogged in a while... but it's for a good cause, because every minute I have at the computer, I'm designing for you next freebie! I'm working really hard on that one, making a lot of elements myself, and I only have the papers left to do. So it should be ready for Monday...

I have a couple of layouts I'd like to do too, but right now, the designing is taking over!

fun layout

Just another fun CT layout to show.
This one was done with "Squeaky Clean" and the "puzzle alpha" both by Garden Girl designs, and both found here at Scrapable.
I love the fun colours!

And if you don't have time...

Here's the quickpage done with my Vinaigrette freebie. If you don't have much time or don't feel inspired...

You can get it by clicking here (or on the image).

I was pretty sick yesterday with some kind of bug, so I have to catch up on CT work and design...
I hope you liked Vinaigrette overall!

Salty alpha

To match this "food" inspired freebie, I decided to make a "salt and pepper" alpha!
I'm quite happy with it and I hope everybody likes it!
It comes with uppercase, lowercase, numbers and some symbols.
Here's a preview of what it looks like:

The files were pretty large, so I split it into two downloads:
alpha uppercase
alpha lowercase numbers and symbols

Enjoy and leave me some love if you download...
Tomorrow I'll give you a quickpage based on the layout I made with it, so come back!

The salad

Today you get the "salad": the vinaigrette elements! I had a lot of fun putting them together. Taking pictures of lettuce and a lettuce leaf, creating elements that look like salt, ... I really enjoyed it and I hope you like them!
Here's a look at them again:

You can get them here or by clicking the image:

Leave me some love if you download!

New freebie: a little vinaigrette anyone?

Today is really exciting for me! First I'm releasing a new freebie that I'm quite proud of... Second, I get to show you layouts from a very unofficial one-woman-CT!

The kit is called Vinaigrette, and that's because that's what inspired it! I was making a salad and realized that I loved the colours of vinegar, dijon mustard, salt and pepper, oil, and lettuce...(weird, I know, but I don't choose what inspires me).
Here's the preview of the whole kit (which includes papers, elements and a full alpha).

Before I give you the download links, let me show you how the kit looks "in use".
You'll see that it can be used to scrap your children, your pets or your handsome cousins...lol
First I want to introduce Judith. I met her around the Scrap Pad (Scrap N'Arts' forum). After seeing a few of my kits, she said she liked my style and volunteered some of her precious time to scrap for me. She has a blog: http://nakiscraps.blogspot.com/ and you should visit regularly as she intends on releasing some freebies in the future...
Here are the two layouts she made, one of her daughter and one of her adorable cats:

Thank you so much Judith!

Next, I want to show you the layout I did with it, which, if you're nice, you will get as a quickpage at the end of the week...lol. I used a picture of my cousin eating salad at christmas. He ketp asking for more, which we thought was funny, and I thought it fit right in the theme of this kit :)

And now, let me show you the preview for the papers, which is what you get today!

For some reason, most of the papers are very large files, and to make the dowloading smoother for everybody, I split them into three files. Don't miss any...
papers 1
papers 2
papers 3

Wow, that was a long post, but hopefully worth it...
Come back tomorrow for the elements!
Hope you like it :)

Lucky layouts

I got two more layouts done today with a really cute kit. It's called Lucky Irish by Garden Girl Designs and it's perfect for St Patrick's Day, but it's a bit different than the average. It has nice muted colours which I just loved playing with.
Just two fun layouts!

You can find the kit here for just 1$ (definitely worth it!).

challenges

In the past couple of days I took time to really play!
I did 3 layouts for challenges.

The first one is for a challenge at Scrapable where we were supposed to scrap about how we pamper oursleves. I scrapped my stash of Lush Bathbombs :)

I also scrapped for a challenge from the Scrap N'Art forum: the Scrap Pad. The rules were to do something different. So at first I scrapped without a picture or text of my own, everything was from the kit. Then I decided to give it another try. I did a minimalist page, for me anyways, with a fully white background (no paper).

Let me know what you think...
A little announcement today, just to let everybody know about the great deals you can get at Scrapable!
There are sales often, and they have an awesome weekly deal:

Go visit the store if you haven't already, there are close to 30 designers to chose from and it's a great place to be (gallery, games, chit chat) everybody is friendly and fun!

Lei-outs

Today I have two new lei-outs to show you!
They were both done with a really fun, Winnie the Pooh themed kit called Oh Da Da Dear by Melissa Daniel Designs and Neverland Scraps.
It was especially perfect for the second picture where Cédric is wearing a Winnie and Tigger outfit!

You can find the kit here in the Scrapable store.

Long absence ... little gift!

I had a busy Easter week-end! We all feel better but my little guy is getting older and starting to demand more attention. So I didn't have too much time at the computer... And when I did, I guess I wasn't blogging, but at least I was designing a new freebie for next week!

It is still sort of Easter (Easter Monday is a holiday in some countries) so as a little Easter gift, I made a quickpage with Spring has Sprung (which seems to have been pretty popular as a kit).

Here's what it looks like:

a little note to Kim L.

I got one comment from someone named Kim L. who was telling me that the Moody elements and my Poppylium kit were empty.
I checked them and had my husband try from his computer and they are normal and full of goodies for us.
So Kim L., I hope you checked back here so I can tell you that the problem probably occurred during our download or the unzipping process. Try again and it really should work!

Also, as a side note, if anyone has that kind of problem in the future, please do let me know, but also leave an address where I can reach you, otherwise I can only hope you check back...

Hope it works for you Kim and thank you to everyone for the nice comments on my designs so far!

Spring alpha!

I'm feeling a lot better (not quite 100% but getting there). Cédric is much better, just a bit of runny nose left. But Dave is still feeling really sick, so he didn't go to work and I tried to keep Cédric away so he could rest. Aren't sick husbands fun?

On a happier note, today you get the alphas for Spring has Sprung!
I made two, sort of... One is uppercase letters and symbols, the other is lowercase and symbols.

Hope you like them! I think they're fairly versatile and can go with a lot more kits too!
You can get them here or by clicking on the image.
A little love...and maybe I'll do a quickpage, you never know, check back...

The Spring has sprung elements!

Today is pretty horrible at my house. My son has been sick for 5 or 6 days now and he's feeling a bit better, but my husband caught his cold and was feeling horrible all week-end, and he still is today. And I thought I avoided it but today I feel dizzy and congested!
It's a good thing the elements for your freebie are ready to go...
Here's the the full preview where you can see the elements:

Click here or on the image to go to 4shared and download.
Don't forget to leave a little comment, and come back tomorrow for the alphas!

A Sunday freebie kit!

Most new freebies come out on Monday, but mine is ready, and I thought why not?
That way digiscrappers in Australia and New Zealand (and anywhere else in that corner of the world) can get it first thing Monday morning!

The new freebie looks completely different. It's a happy, fresh, spring coloured kit (to make me feel better about the huge dumping of wet snow we had in the pas couple of days).
I struggled a lot with the name but landed on "Spring has sprung". It was almost called "I got bugs" (at least that's what my hubby suggested).

Enough blabla, here are the previews of what you'll get over the next couple of days:

Do you like it? It's funny because it's not really the type of thing I would scrap with, but that's what came to me (it all started with the ladybug actually), and I had a blast making it. The colours make me happy and I hope you'll like it too!

Today you get the papers. I split the downloads in 2 to accommodate people who might not have the fastest Internet connection. Click on the 2 links to take you to 4shared:
papers 1
papers 2

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for the elements! And leave me some love if you download, I really enjoy the comments!

Versatility...

I find the kit I used for my Blueberry Oats layout is really versatile. I did another layout with it, and it looks totally different!
The kit is Tuesday's Child (in case you forgot, lol) and you can get it at Scrapable.

I scrapped one of the dozens of pictures I have of Cédric sleeping...(sleeping babies look so peaceful):

Off to work on next week's freebie...

And one just for fun...

They're all fun, mind you, but I thought of doing this one since I took the picture and I hadn't found (or taken) the time to do it so far.
It's Cédric (15 months old) playing (with) the piano...
The text means "he played the piano while standing" (much more poetic in French, some things don't translate so well...). But it's also the title of a song that I really like which says that playing while standing could seem like a detail but is a sign of freedom, happiness, courage and of wanting to be who you are. All nice qualities that I hope my son will have when he grows up...
Enough of me rambling, here's the layout, done with a gorgeous music themed freebie called Forgotten Melodies by JulieGoodGirl and MerePoule, still available on Le Journal du Scrap:

Like it?

PS: it's my first try at making and including wordart in my layouts, I worked hard on it (it really wasn't easy for me).

My first Lei-out

As of yesterday, I'm officially a Hula Girl at Scrapable.net!
And here's my first Lei-out.
The kit is a gorgeous collab by Stacey Crossley and Teri's Thing-O-My_Jigs called Tuesday's Child.

The colours were perfect for the picture of the first time Cédric tried to eat breakfast by himself...

You can buy the kit (on sale right now) here.
