Lots of scrappy news!

Hi everyone,

I've lots of fun things to share today!!

First, Stacey doesn't have a kit out this week (she's in the middle of a move) but instead, she's putting everything in her store at 40% off to celebrate her hubby's birthday (he turns 40, we get gifts!!). Here's her ad (linked to the store):

The second thing is to show you a gorgeous new kit by A Work In Progress Designs by Vicki and the layout I made with it for a font challenge.
The kit is called Friendship, take a look:

And here's the layout I made using it, and the font Your are Loved:

Finally, I want to tell you about a great series of challenges coming your way! Vicki (of A Work In Progress) has decided to have a challenge every two weeks. They will alternate between a freebie mini-kit that you'll have to use and any of her kits (store kits, freebies, or collabs).
The best part is that not only will there always be a winner who will get one of her kits, but you will also collect points for participating, winning (when you do) and commenting on other people's entries. And eventually, these points will get you some kits from her store!! So on top of enjoying yourselves, everyone will get to win!! Isn't that AWESOME?!?!?!
Here's the ad for the challenges, linked to the forum where you need to sign up in order to participate (the first challenge is up, so hurry, we're waiting for you!):

And here's the layout I made for the first challenge:

Well, that's it for today. I hope to see many of you join the challenges. I've been a huge fan of Vicki's for a long long time and I know I would never miss a chance to win some of her kits... Plus it's a bunch of really nice, really fun ladies over there!!

Happy scrapping!

another monster post! And a freebie!!!

Well, two days after my last post, my parents arrived for a 3 week visit. They are from France and I'm in Canada, so we don't see each other very often. It was a great visit, very pleasant, but it cut down my scrapping/blogging time.

So now that they're gone, I have LOTS to say and show.
You're going to have to bear with me a bit and you'll be rewarded for your patience with a freebie...

First, I want to let you know about a great sale at Scrap That Idea:

Next, I want to show you my last few CT layouts, all done with kits by Stacey's Scraps.

Just for Kids (what a fun, bright kit!!):

Grams and Gramps which is perfect for grand-parents/great-aunts or uncles, etc. and so much more:

Always Remember for all police/army/firefighter pics or anything else like my page ;):

Happy Campers which has exclusive doodles to scrap your camping/nature pics (I love the colour combo in this one!):

That's it for CT layouts!! And I'll show you all challenge layouts in another post.
So now it's time for your freebie template!!

It's based on a layout I made which I thought was a bit different and could make a nice template. Here it is (click on it to go to 4shared and download):

Leave me a little love if you grab it and happy scrapping!

Major update on CT layouts!!

I've been a bad blogger again and despite doing layouts and posting them in galleries I haven't updated my blog with all my layouts...

First I want to let you know about a super fun promo that the STI team is having during the soccer world cup. You need to go HERE and sign up before tomorrow and you'll get to participate in fun challenges and have the chance to win prizes. I can't wait to play along with you all!

Now, layouts galore! All the following layouts are from Stacey's Scraps.
First is W is for Wild which has gorgeous colours and the cutest bull ever:

My layout:

After that came X is for Xspecially for Boys:

My layout:

Then Y is for You Complete Me, great colour scheme and fun elements:

My layout:

And the last letter of the alphabet gave us Z is for Zoo, a gorgeous zoo kit with rich colours:

My layouts:

Then Stacey moved on from the alphabet series and brought us Snips and Snails for the boys which is full of fun boy elements, and she even made some of her elements into CU pngs!

My layout (lift of a page by KSCroppyChick):

And after that came Sugar and Spice for the girls, which is very sweet and has some gorgeous browns and yellows, so it can even be used for boys. And again there are CU items.

My layout:

I also need to show you the last two collaborations from the Scrap That Idea team.
In May it was Funkytown, which I ADORE.

My layouts:
(with just Stacey's part):

And with all parts (templates by Polkadot Scrapper and Scrappurple):

And for June, they decided to honour fathers over the world and created My Dad:

My layout (template by Kate Hadfield):

I've also done lots of challenges, but I think it's enough for one post now. So I'll show them gradually.
I've been wanting to do a template for you guys, but didn't find the time... It'll come though so keep visiting ;)

Thanks for looking and happy scrapping!

Bad blogger with lots to say ... and a freebie!

Between my son's ear infection, my own sinus infection, a little business/family trip, and nothing to give, I've been a bad blogger indeed!
So now I'm back with lots of things to say. And you might want to stay with me as I do have a little something for you at the end of the post...

First, let me tell you about the great sale coming up at Scrap That Idea:

My wishlist is ready, go prepare yours!

Now here are a couple of layouts I did for Stacey's Scraps CT. She keeps releasing gorgeous kits and I can't believe I'm 3 kits behind!
Take a look at T is for Teenager:

V is for Victoria:

I've also done a few challenges lately, but as the post is getting long (!), I'll just show you this one, done with Earth and Sky by Mel Hains Designs:

And the reason I chose this one to show you is because I've made a template from it!
Hope you like it, here's the preview linked to 4shared to download:

Leave me some love if you like it.
Happy scrapping!

Challenges at Stacey's Scraps

Today I want to tell you about a couple of challenges that Stacey is having.
First, just join her Facebook page and you could win a free kit of your choice. It's that easy, just join before Sunday and she'll randomly select a winner. The Facebook page is very easy to find as she has a huge link on her blog ;)

The second one is a bit trickier, but really fun. What you have to do is guess what the T stands for in her next alphabet series kit, coming out on Saturday. You have until tomorrow night to post on her blog of Facebook page. So go ahead and guess, because if you guess right, you could win the kit for free. And although I can't help you, I can tell you that you will want the kit!

Now just to add a bit of colour to this post, here are two layouts I made for my brother-in-law and his wife, of their two very new daughters.
I used the collab Framboisine:

Catching up...

Happy Easter!

I have some catching up to do, lots of layouts to show and a challenge to tell you about.
I'll start with that:
the girls at Scrap That Idea let me host a challenge on their blog! Using my first template and their products are the only 2 rules and you can win a $5 GC to their store. Check it out here and participate! I can't wait to see what my few but faithful blog readers can come up with...do me proud! Here's a reminder of what the template looks like:

On to layouts.
Here's one with Stacey's latest kit S is for Spring (gorgeous colour combo, isn't it?):

And here's the kit:

Here's one with the April Scrap That Idea collab called Step Into Spring (it is HUGE, cheap and beautiful):
