Hi,
Wow, I haven't been here for a while...
First, I went to Ottawa to visit some close friends and to attend another friend's weeding. We had a great time despite the 11-12 hour trips with a 20-month-old baby.
Then, when we came home, lots was going on and I was kept busy. Some news were happier than others.
My neighbour's dad lost his battle to cancer and passed away, so we attended the funeral.
But for the happy things, my in-laws bought a house in Florida and we spent the last couple of days organizing what will be our first Orlando Christmas :) It should be fun.
On the scrapping front, I'm still trying to get ahead a bit. I'm trying to make my tenth freebie a really good one. It should be out in a couple of weeks. And until then I'll try to have more ready so that I don't get too many long absences anymore. The ideas aren't the problem, I've got plenty. It's time to do it that I'm having a hard time finding.
I also have a layout to show you. The lovely Sylvie at Digiscrap.ch asked me to make a page for their newest freebie coming out today. It's called Carmen and it's absolutely gorgeous. You can find it here, don't miss it!
I hope I did it justice, take a look at my layout:
Have a great week-end and happy scrapping!

Just hello
Just stopping by to say hi to my awesome followers (and whoever stops by).
I just had a good surprise: I have a 20th follower!!! Hi Janie!
My son is getting busier, my husband is working a lot on finishing a new office and overall I have less time at the computer. So I've decided to stop the Hula, lol. I won't be on Scrapable's CT anymore and I will try to focus on scrapping for challenges and for myself, and more importantly for you, on designing.
I do have a few ideas, and I'm slowly working on kits. I might wait a bit to get a bit ahead of the game, but I should have some fun stuff for you sometime soon!
And because this is just a sad looking post, I'll show you the layout I made for Vicki's scraplift challenge. The August challenge was to scraplift her CT member Kim's layout. Here's my take using Boho Chic (I just LOVE that kit):
Happy scrapping to you!

Published layout!
Last week, I made two layouts for Cheryl's recipe challenge on the Scrap That Idea blog.
I showed you one already and forgot to show you the second one, and it's good, because now I can show it and at the same time brag about the fact that Vicki chose it to be featured in the Scrap That Idea newsletter!
I did the layout with Vicki's Primary Grunge kit:
Thanks Vicki!

Blame the sun...
I know I haven't been around much, and that's because summer has finally made it to Northern Ontario. And if all we get is a couple of weeks (cross fingers, might be less), then I'm spending it all outside to get some sun before another 6 or 7 months of winter!!!
I've also been busy with hula girl lei-outs and some challenges. Here are a couple of my latest layouts.

Little Motoring gift
After all the pieces of the kit, I thought I'd finish the week with a little extra!
I had a few nice comments on my first layout and thought it might be nice to give it to you as a quickpage, for those days where inspiration is MIA ;)
Here's what it looks like as a quickpage:
You can find it here (or click on the image).
I want to thank everyone who leaves comments. They mean a lot and I really appreciate it. And if I get a 20th follower, maybe I'll get motivation to create what will be my 10th freebie ;)
I hope everyone has a great week-end. Happy scrapping!

Just a layout
I just wanted to show you the layout I made for Cheryl's recipe challenge on the Scrap that Idea blog.
The recipe was to keep everything in one quarter of the layout and use a limited amount of things: one paper, one photo, one frame, 2 ribbons or strings, 1 greenery, 2 flowers, some stitching and 2 elements of choice.
I used Sweet Blossom Designs' Bohemia (gorgeous and available at Scrap that Idea for one tiny dollar), and came up with this:

Motoring, the alpha
At the end of every good kit is an alpha (at least that's how I feel, I love a matching alpha...).
So here's the alpha to match Motoring, and like the kit, it's a bright one!
Take a look:

Motoring elements
This is definitely the largest kit I've ever made! After 4 links of papers, today there will be 2 links for elements!
I made a lot of them myself and had a lot of fun, I hope you like them! The road signs are a weird mix of European and North American signs, but I think most them are usable in one way or another...
Before I give you the links, I want to show you another layout I made with it:
When I took the pictures, the title just came to me right away and I knew it would make a cute layout!
Now, you must remember what the kit looks like, but in case you're really tired, here it is again, lol:

As usual, I love reading your comments, so please leave a little love. And I would LOVE to see what you create with my kits, so any link to layouts would be great!

The second half of the Motoring papers are ready to go!

Motoring: the new freebie!
Fasten your seatbelts everyone, my latest freebie is ready to go!
It's called "Motoring" and both the theme and the title were provided by my hubby, Dave. He suggested a while ago that I do a kit with road signs and "motoring" is what he says (and sings) when our son is walking really fast on all four.
The elements are bright and colourful and the papers offer contrast as there are 10 coloured one and a whole 10 papers in black or grey. I love the contrast of colour on black backgrounds and I sure hope you do too!
Without further ado, here's a preview of the full kit:
Before I give you the first part of the kit, I want to show you a couple of layouts done with it.
First is mine, showing you just how fast my son is on all four:
Second is Émilie's, another gorgeous layout from her! Merci Émilie:
As always we'll start with the papers, and they look like this:
There are quite a few, and they are quite large, so I had to split them in four files. Today you get the first two:
