I'm just really busy these days, and the time I have, I've been using to design a new kit which should be ready to be released Monday.
I don't even have layouts to show, just wanted to stop by and say hi if anyone is reading!

The deck...
The weather is really nice and we're slowly building a deck, which is taking a lot of my scrapping time. I haven't been designing much at all, even though I have a few ideas for kits...
But I've done a couple more layouts, wanna see?
One for a Scrap that Idea scraplift challenge using Vicki's Puppy Love kit:
And one for a quote challenge at Scrapable, using Going Buggy by Melissa Daniel and Chaos Lounge:

First drawing
A couple days ago, I decided to see if Cédric would like to draw. I gave him crayons and a piece of construction paper and he seemed to really like it.
I scrapped the pics of him drawing and scanned and scrapped the drawing itself.
If you look closely, there's a smiley face on it!
I used a kit called Primary, by Moosetrak Designs and the gorgeous wordart is from a pack by Kathy Winters designs called Coloring Outside the Box (and I played with it a little).
Both products are available at Scrapable of course!

It's finally nice!
The weather has finally decided to be nice and it's been summery since Sunday! So we've been spending time outside, mostly building the deck.
I've still had time to scrap though, I always make time to scrap, lol.
First, I want to say a huge thank you to everybody at Scrap that Idea for having a great blog with fun challenges and tutorials. I entered Cheryl's recipe challenge last week and Mr Random picked me as a winner!!! (It was the "jonquilles" layout that you can see a couple of posts lower.) So I got a $5 GC for Vicki's store and had great fun shopping! Thanks again Vicki!
If you're not already a fan, hurry to Scrap that Idea, you won't regret it, the girls there are as nice as they are talented!
Now let me show you my latest Scrapable lei-outs.
First, two with Graduation Inspiration wordarts by Kathy Winters designs (and using The place you'll go by It'z a neet design):
Then two with another gorgeous kit by Minicake Desgins called Heart Song:
If you like the lei-outs, go to Scrapable to find them. Tomorrow is $1 Wednesday, so it's a good time to go browse!

Layout of the week, woohoo!
I made layout of the week at Scrap that Idea!!!!!
Scrap that Idea (for those who aren't familiar) is a great site with 4 of the most talented designers (in my opinion), and they have a gallery and now a blog (with challenges, tutorials, lots of fun stuff).
Each week, they pick a layout from the gallery and post it on the blog as "gallery standout", and this week, Mel Haines picked this layout:
I love this picture of my two boys and the kit I used is gorgeous: Beautiful Garden, by Vicki from Scrap that Idea!

A little RAK from my sister
As I said yesterday, my sister thought the alpha was too dark... So she recoloured it all with some papers from the kit (a dark pink for the uppercase letters, numbers and punctuation, and a paler pink for lowercase letters).
I put it all together for you and put it on 4shared. I don't have a preview but I can show you a couple of examples (it's the same alpha, just different colour):
You'll notice that on the darker ones, she left a little edge and some brown, as if the papers was torn, giving it a bit of a shabby look. I love it! Merci Nenaure!

Wooden alpha
Today, you get the last part of Blooming Orchard. I wanted the alpha to contrast with all the colours and I thought a wooden look would work. My sister said that on her laptop, the colour looked too dark... I hope some of you like it anyways, it's the same colour and texture as the fence, fence frame and clothes pin elements (and you can always recolour a bit if it's too dark!).
Here's the preview:

My sister has also started making another alpha (same font, different colour), so check back in the next couple of days if you want to get a second matching alpha!

Finally a new freebie!
A week later than usual, I have a new freebie for you!
I had to keep my nephew for a couple of days while he was transitioning between two daycare centres (and he's a busy 3 year old). Then we started building our deck (I have the sunburns to prove it...) and there were a couple of birthday parties. In the midst of all that, I was trying to design the kit and do all the previews, and it took longer than usual.
But here it is: Blooming Orchard.
It's a flowery kit (not my usual style or colours, but here it is anyways), inspired by the flowers growing on fruit trees (which is only starting to happen now where I live). It has apple tree, cherry tree, plum tree and quince tree flowers all extracted by me! I love those flowers.
Here's the full preview so you can get a better idea of what's in it:
Before I give you the links, I want to show you what my CT did with it.
First, a layout done by my sister (my adorable nephew, suntanning on a slide):
Then a gorgeous one by Judith (which she did even though she was sick, her daughter had an ear infection and her son was growing 4 teeth at once, thank you very much Judith):
And here's a little Mother's Day card I did for my Mom with it (it was mother's day yesterday in France!):
Today you get the papers, which look like this:
Go to 4shared to download (there are 3 links, don't forget any!):
